System Features of Asset Monitoring
The system features the V3 Sensor, a wireless bi-axial vibration & temperature sensor that can be installed quickly and efficiently. The monitoring system can be installed quickly and be up and running in minutes without expensive installation costs or machinery downtime. The sensors communicate wirelessly to the BSV4 Base Station using KCF’s proprietary DART Wireless Mesh technology. The BSV4 Base Station then connects to the SMARTdiagnostics cloud-based software over a secure cellular network, sending data to cloud-based software that is accessible to our Certified Analysts or to your Reliability personnel at any time.
PDM’s certified analysts will monitor your machinery and notify you of any significant changes in its health conditions. They will also provide specific and actionable recommendations to keep your assets operating at their best.
Additional monitoring technologies can be deployed with the system, including speed, pressure, MCSA (motor current signature analysis), oil condition, and ultrasound.
Alerts and Maintenance
Our system lets your Reliability Specialists receive Alerts and Alarms directly on their phones or tablets using the SD Connect app or email or text messages.
The system requires very little maintenance. Depending on the application and environment, the typical battery life for the wireless V3 Sensor is between 5 and 8 years.
